Fallas is the largest celebration each year in the city of Valencia, Spain. Neighborhoods in the city come together, eat massive pans of pallella together, the kids enjoy setting off fireworks in the streets, and artists from each neighborhood work for a full year to create three story or taller structures called “fallas” to display in a main intersection in their neighborhood. At the end of the Fallas week, each falla is lit on fire and burned down.
